Hmmmm.... now I'm not so sure - I thought this was what we called this bush over here, but it doesn't look like the other photos on this site... Any suggestions?

Not sure Elke, but the colour and leaf shape is very much like my Golden Hop vine!

Sorry, Elke, it is Physocarpus opulifolius 'Luteus' or 'Dart's Gold' ( a bit more compact). I prefer Philadelphus in flower and of course the scent, mmmm

Aha!! Thanks so much for rescuing me, Vincentdunne! It's what we call Common Ninebark here. We always called it a Mock orange in Quebec, but obviously it's not. I'll change the name on the photo.
