Your very lucky to have visited there. It's one I intend to see but never seem to get round to it!

You must go Paul, take the family and a picnic its absolutely lovely and peaceful. We've been three times now (even become a member) its so nice to just sit and relax. The nursery is one of the cheapest I've been to with a good selection of plants for sale. You won't be disappointed!

I wondered about an orchid, but looked in my book and couldn't see one similar!I will make a point of going as it's probably only an hour drive from me(on a good day)

Thanks Andrew, I thought it was a bit special (to me at least) because I only noticed one growing.

A wild orchid. There are lots of different ones around here.

Thanks Hywel. Sounds lovely to be surrounded by them.

Was it near the water? Could be Dactylorhiza praetermissa - Southern Marsh-orchid. Lovely, whatever it is.

Thanks Wagger but there wasn't any water close by. Yes I was attracted to it as I haven't seen many wild orchids :)
