This one is a runner - if you have light soil, beware. Supposed to need damp soil but seems to tolerate ordinary soil without a problem

Thanks Andrew. Very damp here in places and clay but doing well. Just hope the purple loosestrife takes off around my pond. thank you

Andrew, I have this and love it. I've grown some purple loosestrife from seed this year - do they grow similar to this yellow one, e.g. conditions, spread, ease? thanks
