Lavatera 'Barnsley Baby

I've been waiting for weeks for this to open, it's a 3' Lavatera and i knew this flower would be worth waiting for !
I came home from work about an hour ago and .... there she was waiting for me :)))))

Very pretty... worth the wait :o)

This one also came from a mail order company.
It was a Christmas prezzie from my sister, there were 3 in the pack, bare root.
They've taken their time developing but it's been worth the wait.
The other 2 are just producing buds of which 2 should open in the next day :))
I'm very pleased with them.

It's lovely Louise....has it gone pink yet? I've got seven flowers on mine which have come out white, then within two days turn pale pink......is that meant to happen?

Mine haven't turned just yet, this is the 2nd day for the first bloom so i'll be keeping an eye on them and i don't know if they're meant to turn pale pink.
I wasn't expecting them to !!!

Philc, i've been watching them and they've not turned a pale pink at all.
I'm going to keep checking them but it seems like it's only you with that 'specialty' !
I wonder what's making some do and others not ?

Thanks Louise. I must have the special one! Two more buds have opened since my previous comment and they turned pale pink within 24 hours. Weird. Bet you wish you had one!
