Great idea this Eileen. Between the houses where I live and the surrounding farmland the ground is very rough.... nettles, grasses, wild flowers etc. But because the farmer sprays the insects are usually few and far between. This year there seems more, except not many butterflies still, so I'm wondering if he's using something different. Hope so,

thats sounds good that you are seeing more insects this yr , maybe he has changed the sprayer

I have just discovered honey bees love weeds especially dandelions and clovers so lots of honey bees :)

No' I'm not convinced either BB, farmers don't tend to be environmental. but something has definitely made a difference this year.
