Veronicastrum (culvers root)

I have had this plant several years and it has slowly become large. This year there are seven of these Tongue shapes. I read somewhere that this is normal for this plant. The sun is bringing on the florets fast and the bees love these shapes. Well worth growing and not too invasive. A statement plant.

Thanks 4 the name :) I looked this one up online and couldn't find any photo's like yours. Does yours have a deformity? Not that it's a bad thing. I like how unusual it is :)

Ah, fasciation. Great photo Dorjac.
(From RHS - Fasciation is unpredictable and is usually limited to a single stem. It seldom recurs the following year, although some plants, such as Forsythia and Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Fascination’ do suffer repeat occurrences, perhaps indicating a genetic tendency to this problem).
