Thank you both. I must get this finished so that I can enjoy having breakfast one warm, bright summer's morning in the dappled shade of this sweet smelling rose.

Without wanting to boast I do everything in my garden, from bricklaying to planting. It has taken me ten years to complete the structure though I had a few of the initial plants in fifteen or sixteen years ago such as my Aralia, the Irish Yew, and the tall cotoneaster behind the rose arbour... to provide a basis on which to design the rest.

You should boast! It certainly boast worthy!

A nice spot with the scent of the rose around the seating area!

Yes, it is a good spot but will have to clear the area of weeds after leaving it for a year. My gardening skills are really lacking in this respect. I just never seem to have enough time... which is my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

I have yet to finish this rose arbour. There are seats and a table to go in along with a proper back rest.
