I can't tell by this size,(I'm sure there are people on here who would be able to tell) if it is a phormium or a cordyline, either way they are probably both at least ground hardy where you live and both are very architectual plants, with lots of character and will make a fantastic focal point in your garden. Happy gardening,and I can't wait to see the finished product.!

i would gues at Cordyline! lovely colour Jackie. but watch out some varieties are not fully hardy in the uk. there are thoughs that are fine outside all year round, but others are frost sensertive - so i would check it out before you plant in the ground.

Nice colour I want one too, if it's a little tender all you have to do is give it a little fleece wrap through the cold snaps and it should do quite well.Hel.xxx.
