See slugs not got your hosta yet.

no clarice, touch wood not seen many here and its got flower buds

Put 5 chocolate cosmos in the other day, the slugs & snails have got rid of 2 nearly already.

I am have to be so carfull about slug pellets aswell with feeding the birds

can you not get bird frendly ones clarice? i dont use them so not sure about them

Think you can, what i usually do with snails i through them as far as i can, then the slugs as i wont pick them up, i put salt on them, no its crual, but then i shovel them up and put in bin. There just so slimmy are'nt they, and some of them are quite fat aswell.

yak clarice, you could try beer in lids off hairspray cans etc, pop in ground fill with beer and they die happy

That does'nt always work, they reckon egg shells do it aswell, i've got 20ml stones on my patio & they just walk along it, yet thats suppose to stop them, well it does'nt bother them how sharp they are, mind you are'nt slugs like snails being both same sex, so they produces thousands of little ones, no i'm going on a bit but i've never really seen any baby ones have you. Fancy talking about creapy crawlers.

lol clarice no i havent seen baby slugs but have seen baby snails on their mums backs

Ye seen then, 1 of my daughter-in-laws, last year had a snail with a baby on its back on her front doorstep, and she accually told me to be careful not to stread on them as i walk in her house.

the rocks are fab Sandra - however you need to get yourself down the country for free rocks !!!

i thought about going down the beach but its against the law to take them, so thought i better not lol
