Hopefully they will do well. I do seam to be lucky as we have good soil here you can nearly put anything anywhere and it will grow .I have a gunnera under cover of a eucalyptus tree,needs watering regularly but she stands a good 6ft tall with leaves as wide ,she's my pride and joy !!

Wow, Gunnera...they do grow very large! I've seen them very large in Strybing arboretum in San Francisco...they are so massive they take over a huge area. I think the leaves can grow to more than 10 feet across.
