One of the gloriosa rothschildiana flowers with the plant inset. The bulb was planted this spring (2009) and the plant is about 1m high. It is in a conservatory.

I love this flower! I had one long ago (diff color) and it's no longer with us... Must get another one, thanks for the reminder :)

I had one of these too.
Kept it in the conservatory all summer & it hit 10 foot with several flowers.
It's now resting under the stairs till next year.
