Yes they have deep purple underneath again i assume they will need protection in winter .
I would love it if it get's to 5ft tall but I'll have to hope it survives long enough to get that big .

I'm not sure how cold you get in Winer...but this plant doesn't tolerate freezing temps...even frost above freezing will kill the leaves.

Beautiful Alocasia wentii (metallica)! I once grew this Alocasia to 5 feet tall and it had several branches. They commonly branch above ground on their trunk when they grow larger. Does it have the deep purple below the leaf?
