This "hedge" is getting tooooo big!

I'm trying to decide on whether to cut my losses and remove this from the garden as it's becoming too wide and taking over one of the borders.

Taking all the goodness out of the soil once the deed is done think how much fun you will have putting new plants in.

In a way it no longer looks like your own place does it ?
When i had a hedge removed it looked so bleak and unfamiliar for a while, then i planted another hedge and it immediately looked like my home again :-)
Have you decided what to plant next ?

Not yet Louise... though I've got some climbing roses and those Clematis I got from the People's F offer... they're doing well so far but are in the greenhouse just now. I'm thinking of having the old fence restored and putting in 4 panels to give me a bit of privacy again. These would give the roses some support but as the grounds really acidic just now I think I'll have to deal with that first. What do you think? I'll post a photo if I can get my camera to work today!

The fence would give immediate privacy i agree, and yes, you could plant some climbers next to it.
It 'is' possible to buy 'established' shrubs is money's no object, these are mature established plants that are usually about 5' x 5', these would give an immediate effect too.
This is a perfect solution for some people.
