I have another batch of baby moorhens on the pond at the moment and they love sitting on the pads. :-)

It would Louise but I cant get close enough and my camera isnt good enough to zoom in. They are so shy and run across the water into the reeds when they see me - I really am that scarey! I ended up with a wellie full of water when I took this pic, lol.

~beautiful~your pond sounds ideal~as my pool is too small dark and cold I lost my little waterlily ~need a rethink as is now becoming quite choked with water marigolds arum lily and my Thalia that I thought was dead has three new leaves as well as a the purple loosestrife suddenly deciding to ramp all over the place.A bit of ruthless chopping back is called for I think!

Seaburn: Trying to think now how big the pond is - I'll have to ask the husband but I think its about 150 metres wide - sounds big but with all the plants doesnt seem so big now :-)

Yes dawn...Rockys babies.Now coming down with whole family expecting extra rations of mealworms ! Getting them of course ! Lol

How exciting Ray/Jane - all those lovely little chicks to feed.
My robins seem to have vanished - they dont even show up for mealworms :-( No doubt they will want me when they are hungry.

Yes, brown face, neck and shoulders, arms and hands (dont look very brown here though) and the rest is white, as I'm always vertical, lol. Guess you two are the same.
