I grew these from seed this year and they are spectacular - 20 seeds in 20 little pots back in April have produced 19 7-8foot tall bush like plants with over 10 flowers on each.............my favourite plant of the moment.

Congratulations on a great choice for your garden. I'm already looking forward to saving some seeds for next years sunflowers \O/

I agree Spike, they are fabulous. I bought a packet of seeds for £1.53 from Thompson and Morgan at the end of January and just put them straight in the ground. Like you I'll be saving some seeds.

Yes, Algie 1. All sunflowers are easy to grow from seed inb the spring. Either inside in poits(harden off before putting out0 or direct in the garden. Main thing to watch when young plants are in garden is slug/snail damage. They love eating toung sunflower shoots/leaves!
