Lady with fascinator (sempervivum ruthenicum)

The flower reached an impressive height. This year there are 3 modest flowers. Lots of babies too. I also had success with growing the pink geranium as a pot trailing plant last year. Not so successful this time round. Try again with a new sprig next year.

The only bother with this is........first find your ceramic/cement pot with a face on it! This pot was a prezzie from a friend. Another' rather piratical pot' with an earing was found at Tatton Park show. In desperation I made one at pottery classes. He looks a bit like Poirot. The fourth is rather spooky, and has a ladies face as if she laid down and had an impression taken. More a vase than a pot. I always glance at the pots at garden centres, but always come away disapointed.
