Thanks D1! this plant is a crackerjack. I'd recommend it heartily for anyplace moist...it really likes water. Speaking of water ....how are things in San Diego waterwise? Just saw a post from Gt in Fairbanks who says they have very dry conditions up there too!

yes, Mushyb...they are totally hardy....our winters are long and extremely cold ...this is the second season for this plant! ...It's so pretty and I'm happy it survived...one of my neighbours has a pure white flower (reg. green leaves) and an almost perfect blue (green leaves also.) Part of the reason I really treasure "Sweet Kate' is the yellow foliage! I love blooming plants but I'm a foliage nut....
