Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker'

Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker' (Lysimachia ciliata)

This plant is now in flower - I don't like it nearly as much when the yellow flowers open! The dark foliage is so lovely as a foil for other plants.

Beautiful. I love the yellow flowers against the dark foliage.

Is it invasive with you, Spritz?

Sorry but I like the combination, I just wish it would clump up more.

Clump up? Dotty, keeping it in check is more of a problem with me. It runs quite a bit.

They've been banned from my clump this year.

Yes, it does 'run'. I dug out a whole lot last winter to make space for some Heucheras and a Skimmia plus some bulbs, but it hasn't made a lot of difference. More will be going this next winter, to keep it within bounds.

Dd! I am sooo surprised that yours hasn't spread!

Very strange, how plants behave in different environments, isn't it!
