they do grow everywhere ... as soon as the pod splits, the seeds sprout easily .... and there you have them ... where i live, many houses have these, though i can't be sure they are planted or got there by themselves.

I think in most gardens this one is a sneaker! Just sneaks in when you not aware of it. Lucky it's got such lovely flowers.

The roots are used for the treatment of piles. The juice of the plant is applied in to the nose to relieve migraine. It is also useful in treating asthma, bronchitis and other pulmonary diseases.
maybe that's why the folks around here do not trash the plant ... and of course, the flowers are lovely.

there are other colours too, but not as common as the blue

I recognise this one - have this in my garden too. It is a beauty even if it does tend to take over a bit!
