Thistles

i sowed some scotch thistle seeds this yr

ah good girl Eileen - I haven't sowed actual "thistle" but have Eryngium (dotted around) which I think of as posh thistle

we have to do our bit Angie lol sometimes think i was born in the wrong country lol

me too - Must be the only person in Ireland that wills on shamrock rather than week kill it !!!

ah they certainly do Paul - I wish I had more butterflies in my garden getting to know the ones that attract the butterflies

Yes, I've always tried to plant with that in mind Angie. But I haven't seen many at all this year in my garden!

me neither however I do seem to attract slugs and snails you can't win

We all attract them in greater numbers than anything else. I use beer traps to help control them!

me too Paul however i could end up having more beer traps than plants : )

I suppose you could just drink the beer yourself and then you wouldn't care !!!!!

now there is a thing - maybe thats why I have sooo many snails - I never fill the beer traps cause I drink all the beer : ) :)

There's worse things you could do. In fact I'm off to the pub now myself to meet my sons. Unusual for me to go to the pub but Julie (my wife ) is a teacher and she's at the local Chinese Restaraunt on an end of term bash at the moment so thought I'd join my sons instead of staying in on my own!

sounds like a plan Paul - Gary is out tonight with his work too and as my son is only 5 - they wont let him in the pub another 13 year and i will be sorted - enjoy
