i've so enjoyed the veg stuff this year that i'm thinking of digging up some shrubs to make another veg patch....

aww brilliant Sandra , any idea of which veg's you want to grow . what are you goin to do with the shrubs you dig up

Sandra - That is exactly what I did this year. We moved 3 shrubs to the front garden and got an extra couple of metres veg space :o). I've been able to harvest bits of this kale for months now - a few leaves in sandwiches and salads. It's very 'green' tasting.
David, I did have a day of caterpillar massacre, I noticed hundreds very early on all on one leaf so it was easy to get rid of them. They've done a bit worse to the broccoli though. Next year I think I'll plant Nasturtiums again which they can eat instead, I didn't bother this year.

Yes, Peter, leave the nasturtiums for the wildlife, haha! Ok, keep a few flowers for your salads. :-)
