Goodness I second that Hywell,could you smell them as well ?....

These fires are all about 100-200 miles away, there are four in different directions each between 60,000 and 100,000 acres in size. 2003 there was one just 30 miles and another about 70. That smoke staying until fall rains began in midaugust. The smell is very strong, enough to think there is a campfire burning at a neighbors. Todays it has almost completely cleared, thank heavens because my porch is 35C! Heat and smoke together are just awful.

Hope it stays as clear as possible. Must be hard for using the clothesline.

I hope they stay. They've burnt almost 250,000 acres so far this season alone. It was war zone in '03 TOG. Thick haze for two months. That fire was just 30 miles north of my house.

Pleased its clearing for you Gt,I like seeing your photo`s but no way could I live with such extremities.........

And light coming and going, its a mad house.....lol :-)
