my new freak of nature

rescued from the shop at the end of march 2008. i am not sure if this is a freak or a new variety that had been mixed in with the wrong tray of plants. we had a tray of white Armeria come in - not that unusual and then in amonst them was this! - blushed with pale pink and the funny little extention flowers on top. i have seen something simular on a geranium after picking out indiviual dead flower heads rather than the whole spray, and i have seen the odd one come out of an Armeria before now, but this is on every flower! most strange, well according to the lable it does flower twice a year so we'll see if it does it again in the summer - i hope so i think it looks really interesting!

What else?
See who else is growing Armeria maritima (Armerie vulgaire).
See who else has plants in genus Armeria.
