Lovely tranquill spot ,did he drop off to sleep there too and was there a big splash lol:)

It was peaceful.....No traffic noise at all.....only the birds singing......and the sound of fish jumping and sploshing back in....They have a Magpie problem.......we counted 13 at one point........

There are quite a few magpies in the churchyard next door to me they are bullies, I sat one day watching how they attacked a third magpie as they must of killed a chick as I could see them plucking at some thing on the roof of the church and lots of fine little white feathers were floating down then the 2 were sharing this meal then one of them walked off around to the front of the church and came back trying to push the other one off the roof, I thought just like humans no different servial of the fittist.

You are so right Morgana......They are butchers of the bird world..
