In UK grown as a 3' to 4' pot plant. In Australia it grows as large as a tree using another tree for support.

I was quite stunned to see how large they grow. I was looking at the tree thinking " that looks vaguely familiar, now where have I seen something similar to that?"
My Mam used to have one when I was a kid. I remember 'cos I used to complain when she used to flick her Cigarette ash into the pot.
I also remember if you moved the pot or the pot was in a draught it used to drop its leaves.
Before this photo I'd never seen one of these in flower.

Over here we regard them as a bit of a noxious weed - they can rip up water pipes and driveways with their root systems. While they can be rather lovely when in flower - most of the time we look at them as a thug! Nobody really wants these in their gardens unless it's a huge property.
