It just keeps on being a bit drizzly here - not enough to give the garden a good watering, but too wet to get much done outside. Very frustrating!
Where's the 'hot summer' gone???

I don't know where it went, but I do hope it comes back soon althogh It has been quite nice down here in Gods county.

We have had sun/showers/sun/showers etc etc all day. No chance of the grass being cut - it's too wet! No sign of good weather on the forecast, just more of the same. :-(

It's forecast heavy rain for the last few days but we have seen hardly any. A few miles down the road they have had torrential rain.

How strange!

It often happens where I live. We seem to have a microclimate. Some say it's to do with the confluence of three rivers but I'll leave that to the weather experts, of which I am not.

No - I just wait and see what the day brings! The forecasts for here seem to be so wide an area, and are so often not accurate.

Lovely clematis - I wonder if the original Comtesse was big and blowsy.

Oh dear, poor dear! LOL. Maybe her face was this colour??

Do you mean too much make-up or too much tippling?
16 Jul, 2009
Could be either or both, don't you think? :-(

LOL
She flowers for a long period Spritz, mine's flowering her head off and has been for weeks, you're in for an absolute delight !
As for the subject of rain ..... been non-stop here since about 12ish .... decent stuff too, not the ineffectual stuff :)

Yes, here as well.
This Clematis isn't a new one, she climbs up the house wall where my roses are.

Ah.
She's a good 'un, isn't she ? ! :)
16 Jul, 2009
Yeeeesss... not too enamoured with her colour, actually!
16 Jul, 2009
Your photo shows her lilac, mine's a pastel pink.
I wonder if soil acidity affects these a bit ?

Possible, I suppose...

Lovely Clematis. Not so lovely weather, or did you spray it for the photo?
