Verbascum & me

An update on the Verbascum which self set this year, kindly I.D.d by several members. It has now reached the height of myself i.e.5' 6 1/2" As you can now see it has 8 satelite flower stems, there were 9 but the Mullein moth caterpillars devoured one of them. They have now gone, buried themselves to become moths next spring. At the back of me you can see a Buddlia bush which self set about 20 yrs ago. It is one of my favourite things in my garden as it provides me with butterflies all summer. Photo's to follow later.

The buddleia is wonderful...
but I think from this photo, Ron, your height looks more like 5 feet, six and three quarters inches. Lol. ;o)

That is quite tall - really stands out. You have a lovely garden there - lots of lovely colour. Love the buddleia bush.
