I've never thought to grow one in a pot ! How cool ! Maybe I'll give these another try after all. They hated our dry summers and wet winters. If I grow it in a pot I can move it somewhere so the crown doesn't get wet in winter. Maybe I was just growing the wrong type too. They dont have a variety here of them. I've only seen them for sale once in the last 10 years actually. That's usually a good sign that they aren't suited for our climate. I'm just to hardheaded to stop trying....lol

i would try again thats if you can find one.they like lots of watering,at least twice a day when its dry.in winter protect the crown with fleece.i got mine from ebay its a gunnera manicata.may be worth another go Flcrazy.
