They're brilliant - got a few myself. Just keep it trimmed when it's flowers die off and watch for aphids.

I guess that I need to "dead-head" them as the blooms die off.. Bugs should not be a problem because I spray all of my plants with "Plant Wash" on a weekly basis. Some folks use Hydrogen Peroxide at 3% to hold down foliage "bug" problems, but that can burn sensitive plants in the Texas heat that we have been having..
Thanks for letting me know what it was! I have a bad habit of buying "pretty things" at the local nursery without researching the plant first.. {chuckle}

I do the same N2 - buy things that look fabulous without a clue about how to look after them. As for the pentas - yes I do deadhead occasionally, but you'll also notice that many of the lower leaves die off. Just pick them off and new leaves will grow - they don't look great when there's lots of dead leaves hanging around.

They will love ur soil. Give them a good feed in Spring as they will fade in fall but come back nicely after a hair cut & a good feed.
