A Quick Hello!

Just wanted to write and introduce myself…I have just joined growsonyou.com today so I am just finding my way around. Hopefully both myself and my daughter will contribute to this blog- I need her help with the technical side. Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing advice and helpful hints and tips! This has made me realise I haven’t been out and taken snaps of the garden for such a long time so I will take some this week and put them on here!
I started growing veg when I was 17years old and felt like a nerd but now it’s come in to fashion its great to be one of the in crowd! Today I am lucky enough to have a big garden where I am growing potatoess, leaks, beans, leaks, raspberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions and more! Of course it can get exhausting to grow so much but it tastes amazing and we are currently feasting like Kings :-) so it’s well worth it!

Hi, Welcome from me too.
My vegetables were a disaster this year. I'm glad you've been successful.

our veg has been good this year, especially the carrots.netted the raised bed which has cabbages and sprouts growing as last years crop were devastated by caterpillars, so we learnt and this year the crop looks good.
had any problems this year with your veg?

Hi! Thanks so much for your comments- lovely everyone is so friendly on here- I thought I may get lost in the masses!!! Growing veg has not been without problems... I have grown asparagus pea this year which I thought would be delicious but in fact they are tasteless :-( very disappointing although they do look very pretty so at least that's something!! Also my cabbages are ruined it the middle- have been eaten a lot by something!!!
