This is my first ever bloom on my first ever Desert Rose. I remember looking at your fabulous photos a while back now and was determined to get one. Luckily a lovely fellow north Queensland gardener (who I met on this site) sent my some seeds. Only two of those managed to take off, but I'm now ever so pleased that one has started to bloom.

As you know, it'a a spectacular flowering plant! It doesn't grow very fast; it does bloom very young, though. The key is to get as many stems as possible because it only blooms at the tips.

Ah, thanks for that tip. That makes sense.

You're welcome. I'm sure your plant will grow and bloom very well there in the tropics.

What else?
See who else is growing Adenium obesum (Desert Rose).
See who else has plants in genus Adenium.
