This is one of the two Ajugas I've planted as ground cover where the Comfrey was.

Oh, it will - it seeds itself as well as growing from tiny pieces of root - but I shall be VIGILANT!!!!

Have you ever thought when digging the comfrey up and potting it and selling it you could always buy more plants or use the money for charity, I m sure there are allotment people would love some and gardeners.

I suppose I could sell it the next time I open the garden - I must admit I hadn't thought of that, Morgana. I'm not sure I want it around the place until June 2010, though! :-(

You could sell it on ebay then.

No I couldn't - 'cos I couldn't sell anything as evil to poor unsuspecting people! LOL.

To me its a god send I have it out my front and bought one for my back garden too, it feed s all plants not having to buy feeds also breaks down compost heaps rapidly too, the root is medicinal heals ulcers of the lungs also get phlegm of the lungs good for bruising too.

Really? I know it makes a good plant fertiliser, and it's good as compost too - but I didn't know it was good for humans as well.
I still would never plant Symphytum, though - unless it was a different non-spreading cultivar - I suspect the ones you have are. I've seen one with gold edges to its leaves which was quite attractive. I don't know if that one is a thug like mine.
