Aloe vera (Aloe vera)

I have just been given an aloe vera plant and it is twisty and curly...a bit like yours...looks healthy too so I'm hoping I can keep it looking good. I killed off the last one I had been given by the same friend. She's such a good friend, she's giving me a 2nd whack at it! lol

Yours seems to have lots of new growth, Linda....lookin' good. Do you use your plant as a remedy for cuts? That was originally the purpose of my first plant and it is very soothing to cut a leaf/stem (not sure what they are called) and let the 'juice' go on your wound. Maybe you know about that already?

Yes. We first heard about its healing purposes in St Lucia. I think you find it in most sunburn lotions too. I have not used it for cuts yet. Lets hope I have no gardening accidents in the near future!!
