queen charlotte. (Anemone x hybrida 'Queen Charlotte')

a beautiful plant that flowers from late july to october. Can be thugish if happy . it is happy in this front border. neighbours to september charm. not quite in flower but lots of buds.

its a japanese anemone [Anemone japonica]. It grows in full or part shade and is about 4-5ft tall flower height. it is a very hardy perenninal and when it is happy it can be a bit of a thug. having said that it pulls out easily. would you like some come the spring madperth? if yes let me know.

whats up with chrysanths? i have a few though not a true favourite they flower until november/december for me. so they earn their keep. remind me come the spring and i will dig some up. will you want a emi double pale pink called september charm as well? I'll post piccies when they come into flower soon.

They remind me of my mum's funeral & I hate the smell of them!
I also cant go near cotoneaster, but thats cos of the wasps liking it!
The September charm sounds lovely ta!!

I know what you mean. we used chrysanths at my mums funeral too but it was her favourite flower. I dont like the smell either but i like the late flower appeal.

It was my mum's too & they were everywhere (I was 9 at the time) & they freaked me out for years after! If I get given flowers that have them included, I say thank you then get them out of the house as soon as (politely) possible!
