Araucaria bidwillii - Bunya-Bunya Tree Cones

These Bunya-Bunya tree cones are not ripe, they grow much larger than these. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Oct. 15, 2011.

Yes, tall trees are very dangerous, when full of large cones.

The cones from our araucárias are edible... it can be bolied in water or just throw it in fire
