That looks very familiar! I used to live around the corner from their.

When I lived there...there used to be really tall Eucalyptus trees, also. I'm sure they cut down those very tall Eucalyptus tree because of the liability.

Dont remember them right there...farther down were some big non blue gum Eucalyptus. I was told E.camaldulensis. Very nice looking big tree's too.
I posted them come to think of it.

I used to hike through there when I was a teenager (around 1974 or 1975) . It was a wild area with lots of Eucalyptus trees. Then those townhouses or condos were built (late 70's or early 80's). The Eucalyptus trees were very close to the power lines. They were still there when I moved from Mission San Jose back in 1998. The tree were cut down sometime after I moved to San Diego, which was back in June of 2000.

I saw some nice sized Majesty palms too Andy near Mission and Niles entrance. I might stop by the next sunny day to see how large they are. They were in an apartment complex, its not a sure thing I can get close enough to take a pic.

I'm sure there's many large Majesty palms all around the SF Bay Area. They have been for sale for so many years at Home Depot and other nurseries. When I was in the SF Bay the last time, last June...I saw a lot of tall mature Majesty palms in San Jose. Some were over 20' tall. They're a very hardy palm...even if the fronds get damaged by cold they come back very quickly.
