It’s definitely a tender tree.
I’m seeing more jackfruit trees in SD these days. They grow well here. Fruiting them may be a little tricky, though.

Relatives in the Philippines have this Andy. At 15' or less it has one of those huge fruits on it. Not much chance in the bay area- unless somebody has one!..never know these days.
