We put literally buckets of horse manure every year.
Mine in the jungle doesn't do well there.
Too much weeds around it.

That's probably what I'm doing wrong then ,thanks for the tip, we will be having a big delivery of manure soon from a friend who has horses.

This photo is of "Arundo donax variegata" in Tommymoo's garden
I think this is the same plant given to me by a man on our allotments,he chops the canes and uses them on his allotment, the name rings a bell, mine hasn't really got going yet its on the allotment.
