Beginning Last Molt (Asclepias syriaca Common Milkweed)

The caterpillar has to work hard at getting out of his head caspule and when he finally does, he wiggles so the skin breaks away. He'll wiggle and wiggle until he works the skin all the way to the top. In this pic you can see what already looks like the butterfly head, antennae and wings.
