The cats or Raccoons have knocked it over a few times this summer. That shook off much soils around the base,loosened more. It actually at one time had even larger fronds. It is two ferns with about a good 1' of thick trunk.
The plan is too pack fresh potting soils around it,anchor with rubble that the animal paws will avoid. I hope.
I call it A.australicum because its very hard and I was told that A.nidus is very tropical and will not grow outdoors in California.

I have grown Asplenium nidus outdoors in the SF Bay Area. It does really well there in Hayward. That's definitely Birds'-nest ferns. It grow very well here, also. It get a little bigger here. You need a lot of room and semi-shade to shade for them to thrive.

It was larger. I posted a photo of it at its largest on Daves Garden. My hand up against a big frond.
Its hard to keep container plants at maximum growth...you either have to pot up forever or just never end the perfect amount of water,fertilizer,weeding, and luck! This plant has been knocked off that cement pedestal a few times...and I had to lug that big thing back on top.
Eventually Andy,I just piled big concrete rubble around the base. SO far that's worked.

It looks wonderful! So, whatever you're doing it's working.

I know in the ground the fronds grow to 6' long. I have some posted on GoY.
