The Mexican Blue Palm is always very spectacular when it starts to bloom. Photo taken Sept 2, 2013 on Labor Day at the Catamaran Hotel & Resort in Mission Bay, San Diego, CA.

The inflorescence can be up to 20ft (6m) long extending from the crown then cascading down.

Yes, the inflorescence is very long. Photos can't do it just it justice and there's nothing so show scale here.
