Mother Nature is quite simply awesome ... I spend every morning checking out the progress of these buds lately ... I've never really noticed before but when you start constantly photographing your plants, things just seem to take on more significance.

There's nothing that says winter like blooming Calliandra. Although, the large Calliandra surinamensis - Surinam Powder Puff around corner from my house still has quite a few flowers.
