We have this growing up the wall on the side of our house. Ants love it, so it's a great way to stop them coming into the house. It grows very quickly so it has to be trimmed back regularly to stop it from covering the windows.

Are ants of plague proportions in France this year as they seem to be here?

We always have loads over here every year and can be a real problem sometimes, but they're fascinating things to watch.
