Centauria, first bloom

Centauria, first bloom (Centaurea montana (mountain bluet))

Spring is finally sprung here for most. Nights above 50 and no more darkness at all.

It must feel great not to have any dark. Although the days are long here now I always wish it never got dark.

After years, you almost ignore it. But it really is nice after a winter with little sun. This garden has sun for 16 hours, minus my big tree that softens midday. Our sun isn't real intense either, most part shade things will put up with a 8 hr sun spot. Sun means no mosquitoes as well, cause they linger under every leaf.

Hey bring on the sun... our wet winter meant we have lots of bugs too.

What else?

See who else is growing Centaurea montana (mountain bluet).

See who else has plants in genus Centaurea.

This photo is of "Centaurea 'Amethyst in snow'" in Greenthumb's garden
