I had to cut this to the ground last spring after it was smashed open by the weight of snow on it in the winter. It's coming back well now.

I think I'll try to keep it smaller this time as it can become quite a huge beast, lol. It certainly seems to respond well to hard pruning.

Yes they do, our yellow one has made a tremendous amount of growth, so some serious pruning to do methinks!!

They seem to layer themselves too - will have to take a mattock to some of it!
