What a shame Bonkersbon.You probably get harder frosts than us Southern softies! It never seems to mind the cold here. On the arch next to this one , I have a 3 yr old Wisteria and that does suffer from late frosts. Year before last we had frosts when it was just about to flower and I forgot to cover it and lost some buds, but not a problem for this Clematis.

Thanks Bb and Avis.Doesn't look so good now as it's been squashed by a cat ( I think) who was hiding to pounce on the pigeons! I'll give it a light trim and tidy up soon.
