I didn't get enough trellis up during the winter/spring so it tied itself in a bit of a knot...

Do you usually prune this back hard each year ?
Does it self-seed ? Deciduous ?
Wonderful bright flowers :o)

I moved it last year to a sunnier position. It is deciduous - I don't know about self-seeding (yet). It does need to be cut back quite hard and would really like sunny trellis all along the fence. It's tied in a knot and then you don't get the best effect of the flowers. Do better this winter if I'm fit!

Yes, I can imagine that the manner of growth effects whether the flowers are displayed well ... :o)
