Clematis x triternata 'Rubromarginata'

This is the clematis Toby featured last night on 'Gardeners World' to grow on the arch of his cottage style front garden. It reaches ten feet or more with small scented flowers. But the young growth is caviar to slugs and snails and needs protection. I am growing it to sprawl over herbaceous paeonies that flowered last month

I'm sure I bought this one last year but haven't seen it yet! Now I think the slugs must have eaten it.
