hi lori
the red is a flower. very different to most flowers. the this one is about 6 years old from a cutting. the one in the other picture is at powis castle . i would think it is at least 15 years old. i was amazed how many flowers wer on it.

What a magnificent tree . I have never heard of this Genus .I cannot put it on my wish list as I am sure it would not survive in the Tropics.
