As you do K which holly did you buy? you will be safer with a holly, Crinodendrons do not like a windy or cold situation...

Ilex Meservea 'Blue Prince'...doesn't care much for wind either! I've put it against the house wall in a pot.

Love this, we saw a beautiful one at Wisley. Mind you, I had to point it out to OH, what with his colour blindness he couldn't see the flowers!

wow, that's amazing to think of Shirley...the contrast is so distinctive as the leaves are so dark. I'm glad I'm not colourblind!

Karen, this why he always comments on the shape and form of foliage so often! Today I asked if he could see the orange and red berries on the Pyracanthas, to which he replied "What berries?". He never sees red Poppies in a field either. I wonder sometimes how he manages to referee, lol!!!

Yeah! You'd wonder what else he misses wouldn't you. :) But people are amazing at finding solutions and coping strategies of their own aren't they. I just imagine that his world is perhaps a lot 'blander' than ours....

He can always spot yellow, hence those Begonias! There is currently a yellow Clem. Tangutica in bud and bloom which he can see from the lounge so he's happy!

How is he with Orange Shirley? ;)

Don't even go there Karen! He loves those Gazanias I brought back from Mums, especially the orange ones, lol!
